GRAND CANYON, WILLIAMS, AZ - APR 18-23, 2025

One of our most anticipated stops was the Grand Canyon.  We booked a stay at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, in Williams, AZ.  It is a nice park with the train that runs from Williams up to the Grand Canyon.  There is also a hotel there.  Downtown Williams is just a short walk up the road from the hotel & RV park.  A quaint downtown with lots of shops.

Drove up to the Grand Canyon, about an hour drive.  The anticipation was growing.  Once we walked the walkway up to the first viewpoint - I cried.  There are no words to explain the beauty, the massiveness, and the awe of the Grand Canyon.  I realize while there we only saw a portion of this beautiful place.  Hopefully, one day, we'll get to see more.  At the time we were there the North Entrances were still closed due to snow.

Steve also got his cowboy hat while in Williams and we had to stop in at the Grand Canyon Brewery & Distillery.  We had a nice lunch outside and enjoyed a flight of their beers.  We also bought a bottle of their Orange Blossom vodka.

AP-American Pilsner; SA-Sunset Amber;
KW-Kachina Wheat; PAW-Prickly Pear Wheat Ale (or my initials)

The Orange Blossom vodka is very interesting as we both expected an orangey essence, as they use natural orange blossoms and navel oranges.  I would say they use more blossoms than oranges.  It has a very distinctive floral flavor.  We decided it's best to mix with citrus juices like orange, grapefruit, pineapple and even peach nectar.  The bottle will last us a very long time.  😂😂😂

Williams, AZ and the Grand Canyon will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Next stop, Surprise, AZ near Phoenix.
