ERHENBERG, ARIZONA - MAY 7-10, 2025
We stopped in Erhenberg, Arizona for a few nights. We like to only travel 3-4 hrs maximum a day. We often stay at a place just overnight, or maybe two (if there is something in the area we want to check out). River Sands RV Resort was just a stopover.
River Sands is new and still in the process of getting fully established. Once it's finished, it's going to be a lovely resort.
Our site was long and wide. There were hardly any people staying there, so we had nots of room to roam around. Their Club House, pool and hot tub were beautiful. The pool is large with lots of chaise lounge chairs and tables with chairs covered by umbrellas. The Club House has game tables, TVs, sitting areas, an exercise room with lots of equipment, and bathrooms/showers. There is a beach and a fishing lake, too. For your convenience there is also a very large laundry room. Everything was immaculately kept.
The sites are gravel with lots of space between. Because of the Arizona heat, it's hard to keep any type of greenery "green". That's why so many of these places have just gravel and hopefully some trees here and there. We wished there were more shaded areas and/or grassy areas as the concrete, gravel and asphalt really heat up. It's awful for the dogs' pads, and not very comfortable to walk around the park in the heat of the day.
The park has over 300 sites. Due to its size and depending on where your site is located, you may need to drive or rent a golf cart to get to the many amenities. It also has cabins that you can stay in, as well as Tiny Houses that you can buy for your winter getaway or full-time living.
All the employees were extremely nice and helpful. I'm certain, in a few more years, when the vegetation has a chance to grow, it will be an absolutely beautiful place.
I think we would stay there again if we are ever in the Ehrenberg, Arizona area.
Our next stop Desert Center, California.
Tally Ho!
