RED BLUFF KOA JOURNEY, RED BLUFF, CA - JUNE 5-10, 2025 Our next stop was Red Bluff, CA where we stayed at another KOA.  It was a very lovely place, well taken care of and lots of trees and water features.   The RV sites were paved and spacious.  Not too close to your neighbors.   Sometimes, we just need a break from being on the road, and even sightseeing.  It's nice to just sit back and relax, enjoy the weather and catch up on reading, playing board games, or just doing "nothing."   The KOAs have many amenities.  We can't always take advantage of all of them as we are still acclimating our dogs to being left alone in the motorhome.  It was easy when we had a house, they were comfortable there and leaving them alone was never an issue.  In the motorhome, there is a lot more activity with people and dogs walking by, and just the change of location/scenery.  We have left them for short periods of time to enjoy a dip in the pool, or check o...

J & M FARMS, LODI, CALIFORNIA - JUNE 4, 2025  J & M Farms, another Harvest Host location, its a fourth generation farm growing cherries, wine grapes, and pears  in Lodi, CA.  We were lucky enough to be there during cherry season (May to mid-June). We spent a quiet restful night r ight beside the cherry trees,  and the sunset was beautiful. We had the opportunity to walk through the orchard and marvel at how many cherries were on the trees.  They also had cherries growing on vines, which we had never seen before. We couldn't leave without getting some cherries of our own.  They were delicious.  We also bought a jar of "drunken" cherries.  Cherries soaked in vodka.  They are a great addition to a vodka cocktail!
